Antique French Blue & White Saint-Uze Style Lidded Tureen with Cobalt Stamped Pattern

Regular price $145.00

An antique French lidded tureen in the Saint-Uze style, with a creamy crackled glaze, cobalt blue stamped decoration, and holds the quiet charm of an old French country kitchen piece.

The pattern features a repeating cobalt blue geometric floral medallion border, with stylized vertical details that give it a refined early 20th-century feel. While it carries some Art Deco influence in the geometry, the piece is best described as Saint-Uze style rather than strictly Art Deco.

The tureen has a rounded form with side handles, a raised flower-form finial on the lid, and a beautifully aged surface. The glaze has developed allover crackling, with warm golden brown staining around the base and rim areas. The bottom is marked with a debossed number “5,” adding to its utilitarian character.

This is the kind of piece that brings instant old-world texture to open shelving, a kitchen hutch, or a French country vignette. Beautiful styled with linens, dried herbs, old books, or other blue and white ceramics.
