A petite vintage French stoneware faisselle, traditionally used as a cheese draining mold for fresh cheese.

This small piece has a beautiful rustic surface, with a warm speckled stoneware body, glazed interior and exterior, and pierced drainage holes along the sides. Its quiet, utilitarian shape makes it a lovely piece for a French country kitchen shelf, open shelving, a small collected vignette, or even as a charming holder for salt, herbs, matches, or a tealight.
