A charming vintage French still life painting, sourced in France, featuring a tabletop arrangement of citrus, leafy stems, a green glass bottle, and a basket-like form rendered in expressive, textured brushwork.

The palette is especially lovely, with soft blue-gray background tones, deep greens, warm golden yellows, and bright pops of orange. The raised, impasto-style brushwork gives the piece movement and dimension, especially through the citrus, bottle highlights, and tabletop shadows.

Painted on canvas board, or carton entoilé, this piece retains its original French art-supply label on the reverse. The label notes a universal primed surface suitable for oil, gouache, or acrylic.
