Antique French Gilt Metal Bow-Top Photo Frame with Two Photographs
A small antique French gilt metal photo frame, sourced in Paris, with a bow crest, ball feet, thick glass, and two antique photographs included.
The front holds a sweet photograph of a young girl wearing a pinafore-style top with knee-high socks, standing beside a beautifully patterned textile. The reverse holds a French photographer’s card with gorgeous old script lettering, and the opposite side includes a second photograph of a soldier wearing medals.
The frame itself has a lovely early 20th-century French feeling, with a gilded finish, decorative bow, and rounded ball feet. The bow and feet are sturdy with no movement, and the gilding shows visible brushstrokes, giving the piece a warm, hand-finished quality.
A beautiful small piece for a bedside table, writing desk, bookshelf, mantel, or layered vignette, especially for anyone who loves old photographs and the quiet mystery they carry.
