Miniature Antique French Saint-Uze Style Creamer

Description:

A wonderfully petite antique French Saint-Uze style creamer with cobalt-blue floral decoration over a warm creamy glaze.

At only three inches tall, this is an especially charming little example, with a rounded body, tiny pouring spout, curved handle, and scattered blue floral motifs. Its miniature scale gives it wonderful presence in a collected grouping of old French kitchen pottery.

The base bears a faint blue stamp that is no longer legible, so the exact maker is unknown.

Condition:

Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use.

There is a small chip along the pouring spout, along with scattered glaze variation and minor surface wear.

Use & Styling:

This is the kind of tiny piece I would place right at the front of an ironstone or blue-and-white collection where its scale can be appreciated.

Beautiful on a kitchen shelf, breakfast tray, or tucked among larger French pitchers. It would also be especially sweet holding one tiny clipped flower or simply displayed on its own.
